You can now enable your Films for Watch Now Rentals

Log into your Kinema account.

Click your initiates in the upper right corner.

Select My Films

Select the Film Title for which you want to turn on Watch Now rentals.

You are now in your Film Onboarding Dashboard.

Select the Rights Management tile.

Under Availability, and under Video On-demand, check the box for Rental.

Once you check the box for Rental, the field to input the rental price will appear at the bottom of the page.

To find this, scroll down to Rental Price.

Input the price you want to charge audiences to rent your film.

Minmim rental price is $1.

If your video file has been uploaded, but you have not yet received confirmation from Kinema that it has been encoded, then you will not be able to enable Rentals. You will see this message:

Once your video has been encoded, then you can turn on Rentals.

Pricing and Payouts

There is no additional charge to enable the TVOD feature. Kinema charges $0.99 per rental transaction in addition to the payment processing fees passed through to Stripe. Payouts will be in your bank account instantly. You will be able to view Rentals on Payouts soon as we are currently working on that feature! In the meantime you can contact us for your rental report.

How Users find films to Watch Now

Users will then be able to find films to watch immediately on our home page.

If a film is available to Watch Now users will see a Watch Now Rental button.

Once a rental is purchased, Users will will then have 48 hours to complete their rental.
