If you choose to offer licensing your film for events, your hosts will have the option to make their event free for their audience by paying a licensing fee upfront. We provide you with a standard rate card in your licensing agreement, broken down by screening host type and audience size. This is automatically included upon your onboarding and approval. However, you are absolutely welcome to customize it.

What parameters should I follow when creating my own rate card? Is there a minimum licensing fee that I need to charge hosts?
Rate cards to need to be entered into our template spreadsheet following our template and guidelines.
You have complete flexibility to change the Name of the Screening Host type, Audience Capacity Tiers, and Licensing Fee for each. However, you cannot go lower than $1 per person. For example, for a non-profit audience of 1-50 people, cannot be less than $50.
Must be at least one licensing rate, one org type, and one audience size (ie $300 for 1-300 people under General).
Max of 10 Host Type Names, completely customizable.
You can set a different rate card for different event types (Live Virtual, Flex Virtual, or In-Person) or you can set one Overall Rate Card.
Overage is the cost applied per person if a host enteres a capacity beyond your highest capacity tier; In this sample that is anything over 1000 seats. Per person overage costs can be less than $1 after 1k seats.

To find your current rate card, follow these steps:
Log In to your Kinema account.
Click on your initials, in the upper right hand corner
Select Dashboard
Select the correct Organization Name in the left nav if you have multiple organizations.
Click on the film title for which you would like to view your settings.
Click on Events in the top nav. You will have the option to select In Person, Live Virtual, or Flex Virtual
Go to the Licensing section
Clicking on Enabled allows Hosts to purchase a license for their screening events
You can view Licensing Tiers/Rate Cards by clicking on any Organization button. Our standard Licensing Tiers/Rate Cards will display to the right.
