Congratulations! You’ve been invited to participate in a Kinema Live Broadcast. Don’t worry - this is going to be super fun and easy.

Watch this video to first give you a sense of joining a Live Broadcast as a Speaker.

What is a Kinema Live Broadcast?

  • It’s exactly what it sounds like. A way to speak directly to audience memebers and connect with them, live on video, within the Virtual Kinema.

How easy is it?

  • Very. And it’s all within the Kinema Platform!

What do I need?

  • Just a Kinema account! Don’t worry, if you don't have one, it will just take seconds.

  • Desktop Computer with Google Chrome browser

*Note you do not automatically receive an invite to the film screening. Please reach out to the Host of the event so they can request a promo code should you want to watch the film.

Check your Email

Click on Accept Invite in the email invitation you received from Kinema.

Once you’ve accepted your invite you will be taken to the confirmation page. You can add the event to your Calendar or go directly Backstage. Note: This is where you will need to create a Kinema account (if you haven’t already created one - just follow the prompts)

Day of the Event - Entering Backstage

On the day of your event, join Backstage via the Confirmation links sent to you via email.

Choose your Camera and Microphone. Then Click on Let’s Go

You made it to the Live Broadcast backstage! Here you will be joined by all the other Participants (and your Host) in the Live Broadcast.

Live chat: You can type a message for either the Backstage participants or the Audience participants (Just make sure to select Backstage or Audience when chatting).

Live Broadcast: Only the Host can turn the Broadcast “on” or “Live”. You’ll notice you’re live when the Broadcast button is Green like below.

You can also turn your video and sound on/off by clicking on the Video and Microphone icons below. Clicking on Settings will allow you to switch your Camera and Microphone settings.

That’s it! Now you’re ready to start the Live Broadcast and chat with your audience! Be sure to check the Audience chat messages in case they have live questions for you. Remember to have fun!

Thank you! If you have other questions, email films@kinema.com.
