We offer two different Kinema plans for filmmakers. The difference in the plans comes down to the revenue shares. Both plans offer all of the same Kinema features and services. These plans are offered at a monthly rate or you can save by purchasing an annual plan.

Kinema Pro: Generate More Revenue

Cost:

$270.00 billed annually (comes out to $22.50 month per film) OR

$45 billed monthly

Kinema Lite: Pay Less Upfront

Cost:

$108.00 billed annually (comes out to $9.00 month per film) OR

$15 billed monthly

FAQ

Is this cost per film?

Each plan is valid for only one film, if you choose to onboard an additional film your subscription will double.

Can I upgrade my plan?

If you subscribe annually you're locked into that price until the end of your subscription term (one year) and cannot switch plans without re-paying another annual fee. If you think you might want to switch plans down the line, we recommend subscribing monthly instead. Monthly plans can be upgraded.

If I just want to utilize one Kinema feature do I need to purchase a plan?

Filmmakers must purchase a plan to have their film onboarded to the platform. Even if you just want to host a single screening, you will need to select a plan. If you just want to have the film on for a short period of time or for a single screening, we recommend a monthly plan.

Are there other costs to have my film on Kinema, aside from the subscription fee?

There are no other costs to have your film on Kinema. That said, there is a $50 re-encoding fee each time change out your film file or add new subtitles. If you, as a filmmaker, would like to offer a free screening there are platform minimums to maintain utilization costs. See more on hosting your own event here.

How do I manage my subscription?

Please see our guide here on managing and/or cancelling or your Kinema subscription. Reach out to support@kinema.com if you have any questions or need assistance.
