On occasion, we offer an educational year-long licensing option for those who would like to show a film to a classroom or group multiple times throughout the year or for those who would like to offer the film to their group to be viewed on demand anytime over the year period. These are only offered as on-demand screenings and are only available for certain films.
How to Book a 1 Year Educational License:
Please note that the film must offer a year long license.
To purchase a 1 year educational license, you will create an on-demand event the film
Select to pay the licensing fee upfront.
Select to make the screening private.
Select Education.
You must select “School - Year Long” or “University - Year Long”.
Finally, enter in your information and details. The system will cap on-demand events at 30 days during the booking process. If approved, Kinema will adjust the window of time to year on the back end, to ensure you can enjoy your year long license.
Instructions to Use Your Year Long License:
The way the year long license offering works is that you can simply show the film in-person via that on-demand window as many times as you like OR offer it to your group or classroom to screen it privately for 48 hours anytime in that year period. If you will be having your group watch individually, each person will need to create an account on Kinema and register for a ticket.
There will be no link, but the film will be available in their Kinema account once they have a ticket. To access - have your students/group login, navigate to their initials in the upper right corner, select Tickets, and they will see the on-demand event there. Once they begin watching they will have 48 hours to complete the film. See this guide to provide further instructions for your students.
If you are showing the film in person multiple times:
You will need to register for a ticket yourself for the ongoing event.
There will be no link, but the film will be available in your Kinema account. Login, navigate to your initials in the upper right corner, select Tickets, and you will see the on-demand event there.
IMPORTANT - Each time you view/show it it will expire, and you will need to email info@kinema.com to have Kinema reset your access. Provide us with your Kinema account email, event link, and let us know you need your on-demand window reset for your year long license. Please reach out to have your access reset within a week of your screening date (**a minimum of 2 days before**) and please note that Kinema support is not available on weekends so plan ahead.
