Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage & Disclosure
Kinema is a platform for human-driven cinematic storytelling. While we recognize that artificial intelligence (AI) tools are increasingly part of modern filmmaking workflows, we require transparency and place limits on how AI-generated content is used on our platform.
Disclosure Requirement
All submitted films, series, and video content must clearly disclose any use of AI in their creation. This includes, but is not limited to:
AI-generated visuals, animation, or video sequences
AI-generated scripts, dialogue, or voice performances
AI-assisted editing, compositing, or post-production elements
Synthetic or cloned likenesses, voices, or performances
Disclosure must be accurate and not misleading. Failure to disclose AI usage may result in content removal or account action.
Disclosure should be listed in the film’s synopsis upon submission.
Restriction on Fully AI-Generated Content
Content that is primarily or entirely generated by AI systems without substantive human creative control is not currently permitted on the platform. Projects must demonstrate meaningful human creative authorship, including direction, storytelling, and artistic intent.
Deceptive or Harmful AI Content
Content that uses AI in a deceptive, manipulative, or harmful way is strictly prohibited. This includes:
Undisclosed deepfakes or synthetic media intended to mislead audiences
AI-generated content that impersonates real individuals without consent
Fabricated or manipulated content presented as real events or documentary truth
AI usage that contributes to misinformation, propaganda, or public harm
Rights and Permissions
You must have the legal rights to use any AI tools, datasets, or outputs included in your work. This includes ensuring that AI-generated elements do not infringe on copyrights, likeness rights, or other intellectual property protections.
Kinema Review & Enforcement
Kinema reserves the right to request additional information about AI usage in submitted content. We reserve the right to remove, restrict, or reject any content at our discretion, including but not limited to content that does not comply with this policy or that undermines trust in the platform.
Consequences of Violations
If you violate these guidelines, we may take action against your account, including removing your content, suspending your account, or terminating your account. We reserve the right to take legal action if necessary.
Reporting Violations
If you come across any content that you believe violates these guidelines, please report it to us immediately. We will investigate all reports and take appropriate action.
