With our Virtual Kinema platform you can include a Live Video Broadcast before or after your screening event. This allows your audience to stay in the same virtual space for both the film and your post-screening discussion. You can find instructions on how to set that up here.

We understand that some organizations and companies are required to use third-party tools like Zoom or Microsoft Teams. If you would like to have your live virtual Q&A on Zoom, or a similar video conferencing tool, you can do so. However, your audience must leave the Kinema virtual screening room and platform, and move to your Zoom line in order to watch the Q&A.

Here's how to set that up.

Create your Live Virtual screening event (more here)

Separately, and with your own Zoom account, create your Zoom event.

  • Set the time to begin around the time the film is scheduled to end

  • Make sure you change the settings to allow anyone with the link join.

  • If your audience is over 100 people, you may need to upgrade your zoom account

  • If you expect your Q&A to be longer than 45 minutes, you may need to upgrade your zoom account

  • Appoint one person on your team to ensure everyone gets in the zoom.

Copy the meeting invitation code, which looks like this:

Add this information to your event in the following ways:

1. Event Page. On your event page, indicate that there will be a live Q&A after the screening, and that the audience should ensure they have a Zoom account in advance. (How to edit your event page)

2. Virtual Cinema. Copy and paste the Zoom access information into the Virtual Event Description. Learn how to access this section here. Audiences will only see the copy in the virtual cinema once they have RSVPed or purchased a ticket, then logged in and visited the virtual cinema.

3. Text Chat. At the beginning and toward the end of your event, remind your audience members that the post-screening Q&A will be away from this URL, and on zoom. Post the access links in the chat.
