Maintaining Privacy and Security is extremely important to us. Here is a summary of our Security features.

Kinema Offline Cinema Player

  • DRM

    • Kinema supports Google Widevine, Apple FairPlay, Microsoft PlayReady, AES and Common Encryption (CENC)

  • All Film Files are encrypted upon delivery

  • Geo-Restriction by Country

  • Access/Account Management

    • All Hosts must create an Individual Kinema account with Email + Password (Password is a minimum of 8 characters)

  • Visual Watermarking

    • We provide access to watermarked films in the Offline Cinema Player 72 hours in advance of a screening so that Hosts may test the assets. The watermark is removed only the day of the event (24 hours prior to start time)

Kinema Virtual Cinema (Live and Event VOD)

  • DRM

    • Kinema supports Google Widevine, Apple FairPlay, Microsoft PlayReady, AES and Common Encryption (CENC)

  • All Film Files are encrypted upon delivery

  • Geo-Restriction by Country

  • Access/Account Management

    • All Users (Hosts and Attendees) must create an Individual Kinema account with Email + Password (Password is a minimum of 8 characters)

    • Purchase of ticket

    • 1 stream access per user

  • Virtual Cinema Chat Room

    • Supports profanity blocking

    • Moderation for deleting messages and/or banning a user

  • Single Active Session Locking (1 account = 1 active viewing session at a time)

    • Yes
